BlueSky on The Road - December 2008

BlueSky will be exhibiting at the Integra Conference on Thursday 4th December 2008 at The Hinckley Island Hotel, Hinckley in Leicestershire. If you are an Integra member please call onto our stand and see the leading back office system Horizon designed exclusively for the for the office products industry.

If you cannot make that venue then come along and see us at The SOS show at the NEC in Birmingham on the 10th and 11th December 2008. The stand to look for is 84. Here not only will we be showing the fastest growing back office system Horizon for office products dealers but also a number of new exciting modules. These will include Masternaught the delivery planning and POD system, Automate which allows dealers to create their reports automatically. Sales-i forms Partnership with BlueSky Software - November 2008

sales-i, the real-time sales intelligence service for front line sales people today announced that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with BlueSky Software Solutions. The new partnership has led the way to a full integration between sales-i and BlueSky’s flagship product, Horizon™.

This new partnership offers seamless product integration for the Office Supplies Market. Kevin McGirl, co-founder of sales-i said “We now have a very strong combined proposition that can transform the sales successes and buying visibility of all Horizon users and we look forward to promoting this jointly over the coming weeks.”

 
 
 
 

Prestige in Seamless transition to BlueSky - October 2008

Blackburn based Office Friendly dealer, Prestige Office Supplies went live with BlueSky’s Horizon and Horizon Web systems last week.  This is the first, and key stage of their development plans which will evolve in the next few months.

BlueSky are growing very strongly and they attribute this growth to the exceptional customer service they provide and that listening to customers is what drives their development programme.

BlueSky, the fastest growing back office systems supplier for Office Products dealers has been shortlisted for the prestigious Brand Awareness Award.

Derek Blood to Join BlueSky - July 2008

Derek Blood, formerly Head of e-commerce at VOW (Kingfield Heath), will join the company as Commercial Director on 1st September. 

Derek brings with him over 35 years experience in the Office Products Industry in various senior roles which have included sales and marketing, management information systems, warehouse management, IT and e-commerce.

 
 
 
 

Accounts specialist joins BlueSky support team- July 2008

We welcomed Kerry Pearce to our support and product testing team earlier in July.

Kerry has a background in accounts and accounts systems including Sage.  She has previously managed a business and understands the day to day challenges this entails.  Kerry will focus on helping our customers with their accounting queries enabling them to maximise the benefits of using our Horizon and Horizon-Web systems.

 
 
 
 

New Appointment - July 2008

BlueSky would like to oficially welcome Oliver Garside to the team. Oliver Garside has joined from ECI2 to head up the managed systems services.

Garside is a hardware and operating systems specialist who has worked in the office products IT industry for many years. Garside said “It is great to be working in a business that is growing and moving forward and with products that are fast, efficient and ahead of the market.  BlueSky have offered me an opportunity to work on and develop their managed IT systems and I am very pleased to be working on such exciting projects.”
 
 
 
 

BlueSky hits 60 dealers - June 2008

June was a fantastic month for us, as we finally hit our 60 user target, some 12 months earlier than expected. Amongst the new arrivals for June include 3 large Progress dealers and several new Vision and Prima convertees.

Vision conversion facility from Eci2 - March 2008

Following ECI2's acquisition and announcement of price increases to the Vision dealer community, Bluesky have seen a large increase in interest in Bluesky's products. In response to this, Bluesky have released an advanced Vision conversion facility which will enable Vision users to migrate from Vision onto Horizon seamlessly. All transaction history is converted, and sites can be operational on Horizon within a day.

Proof of delivery, stock Explosions - February 2008

The next release of Horizon will include facilities to integrate with PDA's to gather proof of delivery documentation. This facility is currently being tested by one of our users.

This release will also include facilities for works orders and assembling furniture and computer systems where there are multiple items.

Another industry first - January 2008

Ahead of target, Bluesky are pleased to announce the release of a full blown marketing system within Horizon. This radical new development will enable Horizon users to create marketing campaigns utilising html mailshots, label runs, faxshots, etc straight from Horizon. Users can create simple or sophisticated campaigns based upon customer spend, gap analysis, customer and contact groupings and demographics. Campaigns can then be followed up as Horizon will record whether the recipients have opened the mailshot or clicked on a specific promotion or link. Furthermore the system integrates with Horizon's call management system to enable telesales/internal sales staff to follow up.

A fully functional HTML editor has been added to allow users to create their own designs or import pre-designed HTML promotions. Full training courses will be available to all our users shortly.
